An example would be, "Hmm... where does tin foil go? Regular garbage or is it recycled?"
Then you'd be schooled like me. Recyclable, who knew! Into the blue box you go, tin foil!
So, because I have such a terrible (really terrible) memory... I decided to make myself a little chart to put up on the fridge and in the garage so I don't have to log on to the city's website EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

What do you think? It is definitely not an exhaustive list, but I thought it contained the most common and forgettable items... haha. I know many of my followers are not from Canada (let alone Ottawa!) but if anyone wants me to send them a copy of my chart so that you can add to it, change it, do whatever you want - let me know by e-mail! :)
How do you keep yourselves organized when it comes to trash and recycling?
Happy Thursday :)

Thanks! What a timely blog entry. Mom has been busy cleaning kitchen cupboards and has generated some non-standard waste items (e.g. cutting board). Used the City of Ottawa website link and found what I believe to be the answer. We'll see next "garbage" day. Love from Dad
ReplyDeleteI want to do something like that about all the stuff I own and I don't even have anything to refer;)
